Que mas ve?

Buenas tardes a todos!

¿Que más?

Well this week has been pretty meh.  We had a zone conference which was super awesome with President Murphy. We talked about our plans to complete the goal of 1000 Baptisms this year in this mission. Zone Conferences are always great, always leave super animated and pumped to work! I gave a spiritual thought on a talk by Elder Christofferson, El Divino Don del Arrepentimiento, The Divine Gift of Repentance. Super good talk. As missionaries we have been called to declare repentance amongst the nations, and this talk explains some important factors of repentance, like repentance isn't just leaving behind a favorite sin we may have, but committing to be obedient to the commandments.  Also it's important to repent with real intent with a true purpose. I really like the scripture he used in this talk, the same that Elder Renlund  used a year ago in his talk, Repentance, A Joyful Choice,

 DyC 58:42-43

42 He aquí, quien se ha arrepentido de sus pecados es perdonadoyo, el Señor, nolos recuerdo más.
43 Por esto podréis saber si un hombre se arrepiente de sus pecados: He aquí, los confesará y los abandonará.

42 Behold, he who has repented of his sinsthe same is forgivenand I, the Lord, remember them no more.
43 By this ye may know if man repenteth of his sins—behold, he will confess them and forsake them.

This is an important lesson for all of us to learn, not just investigators, but for members of many years too. Sometimes, we get stuck in a rut, and we forget the importance of this gift that we have received. If we truly repent, we can feel the love and mercy of our Savior and remember that through His sacrifice and grace and after doing all that we can do, we will be saved.   The mission has helped me a lot to learn about this Gospel and I know its true. Even though this week has been tough for us in the sector, I know the Lord is preparing people for us in this sector. We found 2 people with a  lot of potential this week.  I mean we've only taught them one, but I'm really hoping for a miracle with this family. I'm accepting that fact that I probably won't leave this sector with baptisms now that I have 3 weeks more here,(maybe) but I know I can work hard to leave some people with my trainee. sacrifice for blessings no mas. Welp, that's about it for my week.

Today for pday we played soccer and for the first time in my mission I'm going to say that I didn't play too bad. I actually scored a few times😎🙌    hahaha, but hey I'm getting better! Fun to relax a bit and spend time with other missionaries. actually met a newer missionary from mesa, his name is Elder Beckstead, he went to Mountain View and is the cousin to some guys that I went to high school with, Bryant and Tyler Hardy. Pretty cool to meet someone from home. Welp, that's about it, I got one pic no mas, me faltan 6 meses mas, time to get swolllll💪💪  haha

ya pues cuidense, y que tengan una buena sna con muchas bendiciones!

17 Months !?!?!?!?!?

Well, it kind of just hit me that I have 17 months in the mission tomorrow.  A crazy, I've said this  a lot but its going by fast.

Well this was a cool week, we got to see the Conference with the new first presidency. A little crazy to see Pres. Oaks, but I feel that this is the Lords plan.  President Nelson gave some powerful insights and I'm excited to see the church progress with him as President. It's still kind of  a little sad to have lost president Monson, but the church is still going to progress.  Just remember that as members of the church, we're always on the Lords errand. we have a work to do and we can bless the lives of many people.

Well this week has been good for us, we have found a few new investigators, and we finally were able to get someone to church! super awesome! Hoping to continue with this success! We right now are not working with too many people with potential which is pretty annoying, but we're still working. Really hoping to continue finding this week.

LA verdad, here in carabuela, nothing really happens. super tiny little sector with not much movement. But we did move houses.. We took out everything from our old house ad moved it up to the new one. the new house is super cool! But now we have double everything. it's kind of packed in there, but it's all good. Well this week we'll have a conference with President Murphy, should be good to hear from him and learn more about the focus of baptizing thousands! that's the goal!! Gonna be a tough goal to meet, but with faith and diligence, the Lord will bless us with miracles!  Remember this promise from the lord...   oh sorry, that's in Spanish,,  but I'm too lazy to translate soo do it on your own... haha  jk

ya pues, que tengan una buena semana de nuevo and que Dios les bendiga..  hug hug, kiss kiss, BIG HUG, little kiss haha chouuu

Back to Peguche

welp, this was a fast week, found quite a few new investigators.  We now have all of my sector and I'm stoked to have more area to work in. We are hoping for another good week. Having tons of difficulties getting people to progress and come to church.. to be honest, it's never been this hard, but for some reason here, we just are not moving anywhere with a lot of people.. but this week is going to be good. were going to keep working hard and I know the miracles will come.

ummm que mas puedo decir...  welp, this week has been pretty ordinary,  hoping that this week will be more action packed, well as action packed as the mission can get.. I'm ready to find people who want progress and want change.. this week we'll be finding people like crazy.

Today for pday we went to the waterfall of peguche for like the 3rd time in my mission.. but got some pretty good pics... haha
ya pues, que tengan una buena sna, y   pray for us!! so that we find more investigators this week!

Changes in Carabuela

Welp...    there have been some changes.

I have not been changed, nor has my companion been changed. The changes that have known to touch us are the changes that we will be knowing to work in all of carabuela.....

haha, uhh sorry.  That's literally how people speak here in Spanish.  if I had to translate what they were saying it would be something like that, kinda ugly the Spanish here, but ya
welp my companion and I are know in charge of all of carabueal. They took the other 2 elders out and gave us both sectors, which really is a blessing. We have worked hard this change but haven't seen much success.  With a little more space we are hoping for some miligritos. .. but ya. should be a good change. It was a little sad to hear this week about the passing of President Monson but I'm really glad for the life he's lived and the messages and light he's brought to the world. I've really enjoyed listening to his talks! but I also know that the church is in good hands. It's still the same church, the Lord is still at the head and is still working through his called prophets and apostles. This will be a great year for the church.

well this year as a mission, we have a goal to baptize 1000 people. We have been in a rut for like a few years.. we have been finding a lot more, but have been baptizing the same amount. soo we have been talking about ways to do so., Things are looking positive and I know it will require a lot of faith but on the Lords errand we are entitled to His blessings.. 2018 will be a great year!

ya pues.. que se cuiden and que tengan una buenisima sna!

Feliz Ano Nuevo

Happy New Years Everyone!!! 2018

Welp this week has been pretty ok. Nothing to complain about. Worked hard and found some new investigators. Not a ton, but little by little were pushing along. Still haven't been able to get anyone to come to church but ya, were working on it. But ya it's been crazy how fast the year has gone by! I've seen the Lords hand many times this year in the work and I've learned a lot about the Gospel of Jesus Christ! More than anything, I've learned that he loves all of us. He's in charge of the work and he's always more than willing to bless us. When we feel like the blessings just aren't coming, well it's probably because we're not doing our part. I'm super grateful for the time I've had out here to serve Him and I'm excited for the year 2018! I know we will see a lot more miracles. But ya. Siga adelante no mas.

But ya, like I did last year I want to make goals to better myself as a disciple of Christ.  I usually fall but I'm gonna give it a good ol missionary try.

ya pues i can't send fotos on this dumb computer soo next week but we went to Cayambe up into the snow!!! there was sooooooooo much snow! super sick. On the volcano. It's been raining a lot in Otavalo and Cayambe sooo we got there and walked a ton into the snow! but ya, that was super awesome!! next weeks pics for sure.

I ya pues feliz ano de nuevo y que todo les vaya muy bien en el ano de 2018! cuidaranse no mas
