Baptism!!

Hey Everyone!

Well this week was legit! We had a miracle baptism this Saturday!! Really saw the hand of the Lord here as we got ready. Some huge obstacles like last minute, but we did everything we could have, so we put it all in the hands of the Lord.

Jonathan was all set and ready, but left like the day before his baptism to a city like 3 hours away with his older brother and didn't tell us..  So we thought they forgot about the baptism and were super worried. they don't have a phone so we couldn't contact them. Somehow, they got a hold of a member in the ward saying that Jonathan got a stomach bug and was sick and that they didn't know if they would make it. Super worrying. We had invited a bunch of people from the ward, we had filled the font up a day early to be completely ready and then this happens.  The next morning we decided to just go on with what we had planned. We went to chapel to set up and saw the water had all drained! We were ticked and super confused.. The font here stinks..  soo we tried to get it filled again, but its like half damaged, so it wasn't working. After an hour or so, we returned a 0 progress.    A member who used to be the ward mission leader came and literally saved us. He had come to clean the chapel by himself. We asked him if he knew some sort of trick or something to get the font filled, and he helped us outside with the tubes. We had to open up this hatch and stuff a bunch of rags into the drain pipes, because it constantly leaks..  So then it started to fill again.  We  started to clean up the room where the baptism would be held, and then we noticed that the member had left. he, cleaned by himself for like 5 minutes, helped us, and left right away..  That literally was a miracle.  Soo that was the baptism of the week!

We are excited for the weeks to come. We are on track for another baptism in June.   Well, Hope all of you are doing great. never lose your faith! If we do all that we can do, and then trust in the Lord to do the rest, we will see miracles.  Thanks everyone for the emails, have a great week!

Baptism ya Mismo

Hey everyone.

Well this Saturday we are going to have a baptism!!!!

Super excited for that. We have been preparing this guy for a while. He's a young man and he's progressing a lot! His older brother is a recent convert so we are excited to unite the family a little more. We had a great week this week working here in ¨paradise¨

Nothing too out of the normal..

We found new people and tried to work a little bit more with the members. We had a cool activity class thing planned this Sunday for the 3rd hour, but the attitude was not a very willing one. We have some challenges here, but I'm sure that there are people here. We will have another baptism in June if everything works out fine. Hoping for some miracles in the future.

Shoes are getting wrecked. Sent them to get fixed, just need a super temporary fix, I don't want to fix them like super good either.. 2 more months baby haha, we'll see how they turn out, I'll pick them up tomorrow.  Also ate like a clam salad thing with rice this week with the bishops family..  the best food comes from the coast!

Welp, thanks for the emails, love you guys, have a  great week.

12 More Weeks

I'm really glad I was able to talk to my family yesterday. Its official, 12 more weeks! It's getting crazy, I can almost count it on my fingers the weeks I have left .. haha, I haven't gotten my comp yet, he will be coming in at about 4 30 my time.  Well see how things go this week. I'm determined to work hard.  I'm also going to request to finish in cayambe. I have 2 of my best missionary friends there right now. There are 4 elders there again, the first time that that has happened since I was there over a year ago. I would love to go back. I want to know if that's an option.
Well see. But ya had a fun day today, I hung out with elder morton and his comp in a trio all day.  There's this guy that leaves on his mission tomorrow. He made a huge change in his life a year ago and decided to come back to church. He's the youngest of 9 siblings, all of which served missions, are married and have families. all are active. He's the youngest and he's 26. He got his life turned around just in time and tomorrow he leaves. He's the youngest brother of the guy who let me use his computer yesterday, hno moroni.   So today, he took us three around in his car, invited us lunch and showed us some really pretty places.  it was soo nice just going on a drive and relaxing. Not thinking about much, just enjoying.   I got some cool pics. mas o menos..  but ya, I'm getting excited to see you guys again, but I'm planning on working hard.
Like I said yesterday, we have 1 person with a date., He's doing awesome! Well hopefully get a few more in the weeks to come.

I am reading the BoM for the mission challenge and its way awesome this time through!!  We get a lot of questions each week to answer and to ponder. I'm in alma right now. I love alma 5. It makes me really think about my conversion. I feel like throughout my life I did a lot of things just because you guys told me too. I felt like I have felt the spirit before, but here in the mission I feel like I have learned a lot. I still feel like my testimony can grow a lot more, and I really want to be able to receive personal revelation more often. I loved pres nelsons talk. It hit me hard. Life is going to be really hard if we can recognize the spirit and receive personal revelation. I feel like these next 3 months will be a big moment in my life. I am going to pray harder and study more in depth. thanks for being a great parent to me. It hit yesterday that life really will never be the same like it was before. I won't be living at home. I have like a week, haha.  Its going to be a big adjustment for me, but I'm excited for what's ahead.

Have a good week!
